TS Galaxy FC Youth Development Program
TS Galaxy FC Youth Development is an initiative dedicated to nurturing and enhancing football talent among the youth in and around South Africa. Rooted in our commitment to community upliftment and football excellence, the program plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of football stars.
In 2024, the club proudly launched its first official academy in our home province of Mpumalanga — the birthplace of TS Galaxy FC and our visionary Chairman, who was born and raised in the heart of the “City of the Rising Sun.”
The academy was established in partnership with Penryn, a respected local school that shares our values and passion for football. While many private schools traditionally lack strong football programs, Penryn embraced the opportunity to build a formidable football culture through this collaboration. The result was the birth of TS Galaxy FC Academy @ Penryn.

Academy Structure and Participation
The academy currently consists of 8 teams and is affiliated with various local leagues, including:
Ehlanzeni U-20 League
Forek U-17 League
Mbolfa League
And more
Beyond league participation, the academy has built strong relationships with other regional clubs. Recently, we were honored to compete in a prestigious youth tournament in Phalaborwa (Limpopo). Locally, we have dominated numerous tournaments, showcasing the talent and discipline of our players.
Pathways and Player Development
The academy has already seen success in progressing players to the next level. To date, 7 players have been sent for further assessment with our DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team, and we are proud to announce that 1 player has officially signed with the DDC squad.
Transforming Lives Through Football
One of our proudest stories is that of Siphesihle Mkhonto, a talented female footballer who, through the academy, received a scholarship to study at Penryn College. Previously attending a local government school, Siphesihle now thrives both academically and athletically, proving that sport can truly be a vehicle for change.
This reflects our academy’s core belief: “Our Youth, Our Future.” We understand that developing young talent is the foundation for a brighter future — not just for TS Galaxy FC, but for South African football as a whole.
Expanding Our Footprint
Building on the success of the Penryn partnership, TS Galaxy FC has expanded its youth development efforts beyond Mpumalanga. We are excited to announce a new partnership in Johannesburg with the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ). This marks a strategic move toward growing our footprint nationally and continuing our mission of empowering youth through football.
